I have been an attorney since 1989 and formed Goodman Law PA in 2011. My practice emphasizes real estate related matters (closings, contracts, deed preparation etc.) as well as wills, estate planning and probate. I also work with people to resolve other legal problems they may have.
I place a strong emphasis on the quality of work I perform for my clients. Because I own the firm, I don’t have managing partners exerting pressure to “crank out the work” or achieve a level of billable hours. I can take the time to converse with my clients and make sure they understand how what I do for them helps them meet their needs and achieve their goals.
My clients get my complete attention. When you call or email, you won’t have to ask your question to a paralegal who then asks me. I answer my own phone and return all of my calls and emails personally. I use regular English and make it a point to make sure that my clients clearly understand what they’re signing. I also strive to create a casual atmosphere when working with clients so that they feel at ease, regardless of their legal needs. I have been described as “homey” and “not your typical lawyer,” descriptions that I consider compliments.
I have called Raleigh my home since the young age of 1½ (almost a native!). I was in the 50th graduating class of Broughton High School and attended N.C. State University where I received degrees in Business Management and Economics. I earned my law degree, JD cum laude, from Campbell University School of Law.
I have been married to the same wonderful woman for 30 years and have two adult children of whom I am immensely proud.
